I have spent $600 so far and I am unemployed...tough deal. My Eddie Bauer has had its tranny rebuilt at 51K miles. I am experiencing a repetitious, consistant jerking motion everytime I let off the gas. Mechanic said there was cracks inside the drive shaft and performed a "trick" and packed it with grease to relieve the problem, due to my financial situation. This did not correct problem. Only happens on deceleration. Please help me!

If the drive shaft had cracks, it would either break or do nothing. It would not cause a jerking.

Has the check engine light ever come on? When you feel this, does it seem to come from the engine reving up and down?

Let me know.
