TRANSMISSION WANT CHANGE TO SECOND GEAR AND SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. CAN YOU CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL OR ADD TRANSMISSION FLUID?

Yes you can check the trans fluid. It should be done with the engine hot, running and in park. Add through the trans dipstick tube if you need more. Also, I recommend having the computer scanned for codes to determine if there is a code that could be from the transmission.
