I experienced a sudden engine revving when going up a grade, and subsequent loss of power over 50 mph. Mech said "upshift delay" problem. Is there any fix besides total new transmission? Is it worth it to do this?

The vehicle has low mileage, so I would say yes. It is worth fixing. As far as the problem, has the check engine light come on? Have you checked to make sure the trans fluid is full and clean?
