I have a 2002 Explorer Eddie Bauer 2WD 4.0.
What is your opinion on replacing the front upper ball joints. Some say you can press them out, some say replace the entire upper control arm. However all the auto parts stores tell me they dont carry nor can they obtian the upper control arm, and that the uppers can be pressed in and out on this model ie; the 4/door, but the 2/door sport model needs the whole arm. Im a little confused on this matter.
I have ordered Moog ball joints and Rancho shocks, I intend to attempt this repaire soon, I have a ball joint press, being that I have done this before on a Ranger...what is your opinion?
