Electrical problem
2002 Ford Explorer V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have the rear right window disassembled following a window that wouldn't return to the upward position. The motor runs fine. The regulator has a plastic piece that connects the regulator to the window. This is cracked. I have looked everywhere for a rear window regulator, but can only find front ones. My dealer told me that I will need a new motor and regulator, but I am unsure...Can I get a replacement regulator and attach it to the current motor, or do I need to buy the whole set up? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Dave H, I appreciate your info. Would I be able to install a salvaged regulator into the current motor and make the window work? If not, I will look into getting one from a dealer. Thanks again!

i don't have seperate price listing's ... and in the manual it gives a removal procedure for both together because they must have to come out togehter ?? but in my database for work times i have times for R&R of regulator ... and R&R of motor .. so i'm guessing you must be able to seperate them once off the vehicle ?? your best bet would be to try a salvage yard and remove it to see if they do in fact seperate once off vehicle .. if they don't you could still replace with salvaged part .. ???
