2002 Ford Explorer Overdrive

The overdrive keeps going on and off while driving on the interstate. It's fine until we go ove 70 and then it starts shifting and on and off while the rpm's move up and down as well.

Chances are there is a problem with the vehicle speed sensor. Has the check engine light come on?
