Is the MAF sensor on my explorer sending a voltage signal or a frequency to the PCM? Which one of the wires is sending the signal to the PCM. There are 6 wires, they are L-R
1- Grey
2- Blue w/ red stripe
3- Grey w/ orange stripe
4- Black
5- Purple
6- Grey w/ red stripe

I would say voltage, no testing that I know of instructs us to test for radio freqquencies! Testing always invloves volts, amps, or ohms.

Thanks again Merlin- I have read so many things trying to get an answer. In more than one instance I've read that some MAF sensors send a frequency back to the computer. I was searching about MAF sensors in general trying to find the info.
