2002 Ford Explorer jumping

while i am driving my abs light stays on and whenever i am parked and place car in reverse, it jumps in reverse, some tell me its the brake system and some say its the transmission. Now what is your answer.

Have you had the computer scanned to determine why the ABS light is on?

no i have not as of yet, however, the jumping in reverse is what is bothing me. In the morning or whenever i start the car up and put the gear in reverse, i get two jumps before the car go in reverse mode, i hope i am explaining it in a way you can understand.

I understand. You may want to have the computer scanned to see if there is a code stored.
