2002 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I hear a whirring sound once the wheels start to roll in the frt end.Its not a grinding sound.Stops when the wheels stop

It sounds like a hub bearing problem. Does the sound change when you make turns?
