2002 Ford Explorer driver window motor and regulator replac

procedure for regulator replacement with the window stuck in the up postion

According to my software the regulator is bolted to the door.You will have to remove door panel,inside glass weatherstrip,lock rod at latch assembly,then carefully unbolt reg to lower it enough to gain access to whatever is holding the glass to the reg (bolts or rivets).put glass in full up position and secure it( blue painters tape over the top of the door frame) Seperate the two and remove reg from door.
