My car doesn't turn over. When I try to jump it all I get is a continual clicking. It was fine , started with no problems and then all of a sudden this happened

ford explorer? as mark says check the starter, but i woudl also like to add to check the solenoid for corrosion, some models have a hard problem.

my mothers used to corode up and fry the solenoid constantly. some anti corosion and a new batteyr ffixed that.
