2002 Ford Explorer

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer with 90,000 miles. My car makes a sort of humming noise when I accelerate, not very loud, but then when i take my foot off the gas pedal, the sound stops. The car runs great and there is no other problems. Do you know what it could be?

It could be a wheel or axle bearing. Does the sound change based on how hard you accelerate?
