2001 Ford Explorer sway bar link replace

Question My sway bar bolt broke at the top should the pin just fall out or do i have to remove from the nut still, the pin is bent and not allowing to come out

It should come out, but chances are it is rusted and will require you to hammer it out. It the bolt has broken, there is nothing else holding it in.
