2001 Ford Explorer

So my car makes a creaking noise when turning and hitting bumps, the local ford dealer listened and said if could be one of two things: tie? rods or ball bearings. I was just wondering what the average repair cost of those items are

Two of them I disagree with, the tie rods and the bearings. Bearings will making a howling noise when driving. I would question ball joints. Also, I would also check rubber bushing such as sway bar bushing. Check and make sure there are in good condition.

Let me know what you find.
