2001 Ford Explorer oil pressure gauge drop off

When I stared the engine the oil pressure gauge read normal, but after 30 sec. aprox. drop off to 0 psi and beginig make noise on the valve cover. I put new oil pump, oil and oil filter and cleaned the oil pump strainer. but still doing the same. I don't know what as I shout to tray. thanks

When you installed the new oil pump, are you sure the pickup tube went together correctly and the pick up screen and tube were clean? It sounds like it is plugged.
