2001 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 82.000 miles

BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR GOOD, BATTERY NOT HOLDING A CHARGE. THE GUY PUT A DEVICE LOOKED LIKED A SCREW DRIVER ON THE BATTERY POST AND A LIGHT CAME ON HE SAID IT COULD BE A LOSE WIRE AND THEY LIGHT WOULD GO OFF ONCE THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM

If the light remains lit -it means you have a short circuit somewhere in the electrical system.
