I am having a sometimes loud, loose, clangy sound coming from my front drive tire side. Its sounds like a suspension problem, but the explorer really doesnt have a front suspension. I replaced front shocks on both sides and brand new sway bar linkage. The best way to descibe it is your most likely to hear it when you hit a bump but its not every bump though. If your rolling slow and hit the breaks and shift the weight to the front end you'll hear it to. When jacked up the wheel is tight and doesnt have play in it, and its not a grinding sound. But when its jacked up and i spin the tire back and forth it seems like theres an almost similar sound but not as loud coming from the front axel area where it goes into the transfer case? I dunno its lound nd very annoying. Any suggestions?

Have the tracking bars bushings checked.

Let me know what you find.
