My 1999 Ford Explorer started losing oil pressure. I put on a mechanical oil pressure gauge to monitor pressure. When starting has loud sound for 2-3 seconds and then normal. Oil pressure gauge gets up to 35-40 psi. If I push gas pedal, the oiil pressure starts to drop. Has gotten down to near 0. ANy ideas? Thanks.

you probably have already been told but just in case, your oil pump is wore out and you should have it replaced as soon as possible.
