drivers front door lock does not work

you will need a simple inexpensive test light.
remove the lock button check for power on one side of the switch. if you have power push the lock button at the same time check for power on the other side of the switch if yes. remove door panel.
now check and make sure the lock mechanism is hooked to the door latch if yes backprobe the plug from the power lock motor activate the switch is the test light lighting up. if yes replace the power lock motor
