1999 Ford Explorer Engine temp ga runs cold

My girlfriend's '99 Explorer Sport doesn't blow any heat at all. The engine temp gauge never gets above the "cold" mark. What could be the main problem? Thermostat stuck open? Fluid levels look good and I haven't noticed any leaks.

It sounds like you are right. Chances are the thermostat is stuck open. I would start by replacing that to see if it fixes the problem. Chances are it will.
