The vehicle has power locks and the lock mechanism is jammed or something and is not unlocking the latch. Is there someway to bypass it to open the door from the inside door panel? The jammed door is the rear passenger door and you can't open it from the inside or outside and the child safety lock is off.

The only thing to do is to remove the door panel to determine what is causing the problem. Chances are the linkage is either disconnected or broken.

Let me know what you find.

Door panel is already removed and all of the linkages are hooked up. It is jammed and will not will unlock from the latch. Where the linkage is hooked to that piece isn't moving to unlock the latch. It is not moving or unlocking. Thanks!

If the lock solenoid is jammed, are you able to remove it?

The piece attached to the latch will not move at all. Even with the power lock rods and the manual rod detached.

It's hard for me to picture what you are dealing with. Is it possible for you to take a picture and upload it for me to see?

I don't think I can because I think it is attached to the latch and the bolts for the latch are on the inside jam of the door, so I can't get to the until I get the door open. The door doesn't have a key lock. So I think it is all one piece. Thanks!

We have talked to the Ford Dealership and they informed us that it is probably a broken or worn door latch, but we have to get the door open first to replace the latch. Do you have any suggestions on how to get the door open? Thanks

That is a tough one because to unbolt the latch, the door has to be open. Did the dealer have any ideas for you?

Bought a mirror to see in there better and held up on the lock with pliers while someone opened the door.
