My car is making a rattling noise once turn on and driven and my question is does my car has a timing Belt 98 Ford Explorer and what would it be that is making that noise

Your engine has a timing chain. If it is really loose it could make noise. However, can you tell aprox where the noise is coming from?

the noise is coming close to the top where my thermostat housing /engine is not in the bottom
