1998 Ford Explorer spark plugs

I am changing my spark plugs. I have the drivers side done. I also have the first on passenger side. I can't for the life of me get the middle plug started. I've taken the wheel off. I get it in the hole but it won't catch. Any suggestions on another way? Thank you.
