1998 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I need to know if a 1996 Ford Explorer front differential will inter change with a 1998 Ford Explorer?

We recommend staying with direct fit parts. Also, whatever you decide, make sure it is the same gear ratio as the rear axle. Otherwise you will cause major problems.
