1998 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1998 ford explorer i smell raw gas but it's not leaking on the ground,it burns about 45 dollars or more. What could it be.

fuel injector(s) could be stuck open or one or more plugs may not be getting healthy spark and leaving unburned fuel.
