1998 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

What would be a fair price to replace a right side catalytic converter on a 1998 Ford Explorer, 4.0 with 116,000 miles? I was quoted $1250 (parts & labor). Thanks.

Walker makes an aftermarket direct fit, on rock auto web site 220.00...But that's just the part, then there is labor, and another 50.00-100.00 for an 02 sensor....I would say half your price would be fair!
