1998 Ford Explorer A/C air direction control

98 Explorer keeps changing from centre vent to demist, but changes back again when decelerating thereby increasing vacuum. I suspect a vacuum leak but where?

Hi:
You're right. It's a vacuum problem. Most common places to check would include where the vac supply comes through the fire wall or where it connects to the control unit. Keep in mind it could be the control unit itself.
