Transmission problem
1998 Ford Explorer 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 173 k miles

my explorer has been rattling extremely hard, I took it to get an oil change and they recommended a a tune up. So I had them give it a tune up and my car is still rattling. So I had a few other people check it out and they all recommended I get a transmission flush. Is this a wise decision?

When do you notice the clunk? Whers it sound or feel like its coming from?

What road conditions. Engien temps? Acceleration. What if anything causes it or affects it.
