1997 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My mechanic says that I need new shocks on my Exploprer. I am wondering what the average cost of this repair is and if I need to ask what type of shock absorbers they are using and if there is a big difference in shock absorbers??? Thanks

Just make sure they use a quality gas filled shock. I'm not allowed to give brand names, but if you have a specific brand I can say yes or no.
