1997 Ford Explorer interior lights

my interior lights stay on all the time i have checked the door sensors they seem to respond when the door opens with the alert tone. so i have taken all the bulbs out to stop my battery from draining

If all the switches are good, then there is either a short to one of the switches or the body control module is acting up. You would need to have that checked by a qualified mechanic.
