1997 Ford Explorer flashing lights

The four wheel lights flashing off and on. Four wheel drive wont work unless you pull positive battery cable off and that last just for a few min. Then its back to flashing

If the light is flashing, chances are there is a problem with the actuator on the transfer case. You need to have the computer scanned to identify where the problem is coming from for certain.

Many parts stores will do it for free. Do that and let me know what you find.
