1996 Ford Explorer Wont start

So... when i go to start my car ill put the key in and turn in and itll almost start, but then ill give it a little gas and the car will turn over and run fine... but only if i keep my foot on the gas. as soon as i take it off my car dies

Remove and clean or replace IAC valve
Check for any vacuum leaks
