A/C sounds like lifter tapping when turned on, kinda like it is continually cycling. I did recharge with canned refrigerant 134a and it blows cold just tapping will drive you crazy. I'm not Mz. Goodwrench but I know that it needs something maybe compressor oil? How do I put that in and where? However the tapping noise is about to send me over the edge. Yes I put gloves on so I don't mess up my manicure and do all the maintenance on my truck and for as many miles as it has and most everything has been replaced or re-built it is very reliable.
Please help. chichi0713@msn.com Thanks Chichi

Open the hood look at the clutch is it cycling?
Also, can you get a long screw driver or something metal on the comp. a put your ear to it and hear noise ?
You can put oil in system there are charge cans with oil only problem there is if you don't have a high side gauge hooked up bad things can happen.
