1996 Ford Explorer headlights

1996 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

the passager headlight was out. replaced the bulb still not working, my dealer had his mech wire that light to the driver side light a day later both went out when driving in the night time...can you help???? any suggestions???? it is a eddie baur

It sounds like wiring both headlights together has caused a short in the wiring or has blown a fuse. You need to find the cause of the FIRST issue (passenger headlight out). Then rewire the headlight wires to original standards. This will solve your problems. Check for power going to the passenger side headlight plugs to ensure it is geting power.
