1996 Ford Explorer alarm system

my alarm system keeps going off by itself. i don ot use the transmitter to open and close thinking that could be the problem but it doenot seem to be . the only way to get it not to go off is if i manually lock the doors. My biggest problem now is that my key swithch doesn't always seem to turn everythng off so my battery runs down. As soon as i jumpit off and drive it alittle the battery picks up. i have had the attery tested but it and the alternator all seem to test fine. what can you suggest

I hate to say it, but the only place that has the proper test equipment to check it is a dealer.
