1995 Ford Explorer how to replace the side view mirror

1995 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 130K miles

I would like to know how to replace the passenger side, side view mirror. It is a non-power manual mirror. I do not know if I can pop it off(which I am struggling with tight now) or if I have to take the door panel of to get access to bolts or screws to get it off

The door panel must first be removed to gain access to the mounting nuts. Remove the mounting screws or nuts and lift off the mirror. Remove and discard the gasket. When installing, make sure the gasket is properly positioned before tightening the screws.
