1995 Ford Explorer dies at start

Engine Mechanical problem
1995 Ford Explorer 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive 110,00 miles

just replaced fuel pump...will start and idle till a/c engages...then engine dies......if i can get it to start and idle @ 1500 rpm it will stay running...let of gas to idle and engine dies

HAs the check engine light come on? Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Is the vehicle driveable without the AC on?
