1995 Ford Explorer 4 wheel drive does not engage

the selector switch for the 4 wheel drive lights up to show operation but there is no power/drive to the front wheels.

I need you to check to see if the actuator on the transfer case is getting power. If it is, remove the actuator and have it checked. Chances are it is bad.
