I would like to sell my 1994 Ford Explorer (Eddie Bauer) "as is" but it needs a new tranmission. Can you please give me a ballpark figure on the replacement cost so that I may do my research before selling it. Thanks

Just labor alone for removing, overhauling and installing your vehicle's transmission will run right at $1,000 (approx. 14.5 labor hours). Then add in additional costs which will vary depending on what needs replaced on the tranny.
