1994 Ford Explorer Shakes/vibrates

My 94 explorer vibrates/shakes whenever I start from a stopped position. If I ease on to the gas it does not shake/vibrate. However, when I step on the gas from a stoped positon it does. Help please. I have had so many varieing suggestions/diagnosis from mechanics am a little gun shy spending money.

Does the vibration go away when you let off the gas? What suggestions have been made? To me, it could be an engine miss, u-joint problem, differential issue.
