My explorer when I reach between 45 and 50 mph. Will not shift into a higher gear, the rpm's just continue to go up, and to reach this speed, it takes me a while, I have a big lack of power. The oil was just changed within the last 1000 miles. Can anyone help!

Sounds like a stuck governor. If you can manually shift it into 2nd by placing the selector lever in the "2" position to manually upshift, then it is either a stuck gevernor or sticking shift valves in the valve body.
