1994 Ford Explorer Keeps Dying

Engine Performance problem
1994 Ford Explorer 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

When I start the truck it runs fine. Sounds normal and idles good. When I shift to any gear it dies. I have to hold my foot on the gas at all times or the truck dies. I would really be greatful if you could help me.

Check and test the throttle position sensor and MAF sensor if okay try disconnecting the TCC solenoid and see what happens.
