In addition to my previous post, I should add that the smoke isn't coming from the exhaust. It's coming from under the hood and seeping inside the car via the glove box and vents. The oil temperature gauge moves to hot and the place where you add oil is smoking. I've also noticed smoke rising from the valve cover gasket and radiator hoses. Note that I've recently replaced the water pump, water pump hoses, fan clutch, serpentine belt, tension pulley. The radiator pressure tested fine. I've also purchased a new thermostat, radiator hoses, valve cover gasket, heater core and blower motor. I'm assuming these items will eliminate my oil leaks but why is it running hot and smells strongly of burning oil/rubber?

If you are seeing the smoke from under the hood, chances are the valve cover gaskets or intake are leaking oil. As far as all of the other parts you got, get your money back unless the blower motor is bad, the heater core is leaking.

You mentioned the oil temp gauge moves to the hot. Do you mean the temp gauge? The oil gauge just identifies oil pressure. If it has too much pressure, that could cause some interesting problems. If you ment the temp gauge goes to hot, then I would replace the thermostat. You've already replaced most everything else.

Let me know.
