1993 Ford Explorer ignition replcement

How do I get the old ignition out of the housing without breaking the housing?

Look at the bottom of the housing. You will see a small hole under the lock cylinder. Inside this hole is a releasae pin that will release the lock cylinder from the housing. Depress this pin with the switch in the ON position, and you can pull the old lock cylinder out of the housing.
