I cannot drive over 1 mile before my truck overheats and begins smoking heavily. It's definitely burning oil and I'd like to know the exact reason why.

Some of the problems I've noted are: 1) the heater hoses need replacing, 2) the heater core needs to be replaced, 3) the blower motor needs to be replaced and 4) several gaskets needs replacing, i.e., the valve cover, trans oil and oil pan gaskets.

While these items are definitely contributing to the oil loss, does it also contribute to the oil burning? What can I do to fix this and become more mobile?
