my tranmission wont go in gear even after i changed the filter and fluid.when i put it in gear i start hereing a noise like something banging around in the transmission.and i also was woundering when my truck is off and i put it in gear i can push it like its still in neutral y is that.

Have you checked to make sure the linkage to the trans is in good condition and properly adjusted?
