1992 Ford Explorer electric 4X4 shift

Truck will not shift into 4 wheel drive

diid show a drian on the volt meter but did not shift in not shows no drain and no shift

Electric motor turns transfer case in/out of 4wd. Replace, or if mechanically inclined, it is possible to remove motor and clean contacts/brushes inside. Thanx ford for design flaws
