1992 Ford Explorer

I have been fighting this thing for a week now. I have it down to the EEC fuse Keeps blowing I have replaced the computer and some other things. When I remove the computer and put the fuse in it still blows the fuse out. What would make it do that? I'am ready to pull my hair out.

Does the EEC blow with the EEC relay out? Also, don't pull your hair out. I did and it's depressing!

Let me know. Also, let me know if it blows as soon as you put it in, or if it's after you turn the key to the on position.

Ok the fuse don't blow until I turn on the key. I removed the eec relay and turned the key on and it don't blow. Its got alot of new things that I have replaced searching for this problem. ECM,CRANK SENSOR, EEC RELAY,PCM, IGNITION COIL PACK. This thing has been down for days and i have done everything that everyone had suggested here on 2carpros, and I still have a dead car. It will run for 15 secs when i use a jumper wire in the place of the fuse, however the jumper wire gets very hot and burns in to as well. So with the relay out and the key on the fuse don't blow. With the relay in and key on its history. What do I do know? Please help get me some where here.

You have to have a short after the relay. I would check the fuel pump for draw. Infact, remove the fuel pump relay and see if it still blows.

Let me know what you find.

ok the fuse don't blow when the fuel pump don't run. i removed the what i thought was the relay and the pump still came on when i removed the eec relay it didn't come on and it didn't blow. when i placed everything it blew. however here the tricky part i disconnected the plug in for the inertia switch or fuel pump cut off what ever its called, and when i did that the relays did there clicking and the fuse didn't blow however since it was disconnected the fuel pump didn't come on and everything was good. i started it with a simple spray of ether and it ran while i was spraying it and the fuse didn't blow. everythings good until that fuel pump gets connected and then it all goes to heck
