I have a leak somewhere above the oil pan. Someone said it could be where the 4 wheel drive meets. I hope I am explaining this right. Can I do away with the 4 wheel drive and the problem will go away. The transmission is good in the vehicle, but it has this leak. I was told that where the leak is has 4 bolts attatched. If confusing I will ask again and resend a better question.

Hi:
There is a seal that is between the transfer case and the transmission. I believe that is where you are describing. If it is leaking, you need to replace the seal. As far as removing the transfercase (4wd) you can't do that.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Joe
