I WAS PUT IN THE MIDDLE OF A 1990 FORD PICKUP 302CI SOMEONE HAS CHANGED A MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP TO A ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP CAN YOU EVEN DO THAT IF SO DO YOU STILL HAVE TO PUT THE FUEL PUMP ECCENTRIC ON THE CAM SHALF SPROCKET AND IS THERE ANY THING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS TRANSFER

Yes you can do it as long as the pump only produces what is needed. As far as the eccentric, if it isn't needed anymore, don't worry about it.

One concern is if the vehicle is in an accident and the engine dies, the pump will continue pumping until power is shut off to it.
